Through Compassion Church Partnerships, children are provided with education, nutrition, healthcare, safe places to play and the chance to know Jesus as their Saviour. Children are embraced by the local church, given the chance to escape the cycle of poverty and despair, and the opportunity to step into a future filled with hope.

CityWide has a Church Partnership with two Compassion Projects in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. Currently, almost 40 children from these two projects are sponsored by people from CityWide. We view it as a privilege to see the amazing positive difference Compassion sponsorship makes in the lives of these precious children.

 

 

Destiny Rescue

Destiny Rescue is a grass roots, internationally recognised Christian based organisation that works hard to serve the poor and exploited. Children and women in developing nations are often very vulnerable and need protection from being sold into prostitution or from other physical/sexual abuses. Destiny Rescue have "Safe Homes" for those deemed "at risk" for both short term and long term care. Destiny Rescue actively seeks out and rescues children from sexually exploitive situations and slavery, then restore, protect and empower them through caring rehabilitation.

CityWide is raising funds for Destiny Rescue to build another much needed Safe House in Northern Thailand. We are well on the way to achieving this goal.

Operation Christmas Child

Every year, generous people across the world lovingly pack shoe boxes with gifts – simple, yet powerful messages of God’s unconditional love.

When a child opens a shoe box, they’re opening more than a present lovingly prepared just for them. They’re opening up their community to a world of life-changing opportunities.

Operation Christmas Child is a unique project of Samaritan’s Purse that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.

It provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple but hands-on project that has the power to transform children’s lives.

As each shoe box gift is delivered, it is treasured by the child that receives it, and is a lasting reminder that he or she is precious to God.

CityWide has changed the lives of children through Operation Christmas Child. Over the years CityWide has collected, filled and donated thousands of boxes for the Operation Christmas Child appeal. Many lives have been impacted through this simple gift that reveals the ultimate gift of all - God’s unconditional love.

 

 

Orphanages in Laos

CityWide’s Senior Pastor Robert Albano, is overseeing the construction of children's Orphanages in Laos. He kindly donates his time & draws from his past experience as a Property Developer to oversee the construction of these buildings. A Group of Pastors from Singapore have asked him to help partner with them in these Projects. It is the vision of this group to build Houses to accommodate the children in a normal environment, rather than in an isolated compound. They have named these houses “Street-Scape” Orphanages. Their Vision is to build many more houses to fulfil this great need.
